Ban Lung school point, which belongs to Ban Lung primary school (Bao Lac district, Cao Bang province), is our final project for 2022.
Located 20 kilometers from the town center, surrounded by the rugged beauty of mountains, stands our Ban Lung school point. Every day, a group of 50 students, most of whom are of the Tay and H'Mong ethnic minorities, and teachers make the 5 km journey on foot, navigating their way in rubber flip-flops through challenging terrains.
This daily trek is not just a physical journey, but rather a commitment to education.
Ban Lung School was first built in 2004. Over the years, due to constant use, the facility has significantly deteriorated. Currently, students are required to have their meals within their classrooms, a situation that lacks adherence to basic hygiene standards.
Despite the 12-hour journey to get to the school point from Hanoi, we are determined to renovate the place, hoping that more than 50 primary school children will have a safe and hygienic place to study.
